Scott Griffiths
Managing Attorney
Before opening his own firm, Scott worked for civil litigation firms in Scottsdale and Phoenix, representing businesses and individuals in various matters. His practice areas include family law, personal injury, medical and legal malpractice, and general commercial representation. He is passionate about prison and prison healthcare reform and represents inmates and families of inmates for healthcare related issues in Arizona’s prisons and jails.
Scott is licensed to practice in all Arizona State Courts, Arizona District Court and Bankruptcy Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. When he’s not working, Scott is an avid gardener and will likely be found outside tending to his garden or chickens.
Marty Zalevsky
Attorney Of Counsel
We are thrilled to have Marty working with us as “of counsel” in family law matters. She has been practicing family law in various capacities since 2010. A past member of the Arizona Family Rules Committee for the State Bar, Marty has also worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the Child and Family Protection Division, Child Support Services.
Marty graduated from Northern Arizona University summa cum laude in 2003 and from law school in 2008 where she also participated in the Phoenix Law Review and the Mediation Clinic. In 2009, Marty was recognized by the Volunteer Lawyers Program for her pro bono work serving the underprivileged and she is also a past contributing writer to Arizona Law Help on the topics of family law and juvenile law.
In her free time, Marty enjoys outside adventures in Arizona including backpacking and skiing.
Francisca Vasquez-Griffiths
Office Manager/Accounting
Francisca started with our law firm when it was still in its infancy, willing to take on whatever tasks necessary to help make our firm grow. Francisca manages the day-to-day happenings of our front office and records department, while also supervising the accounting department for our firm. She greets every member of our team and our clients with a smile making sure that their time here in our office is comfortable and welcoming.
Francisca is a Tempe native and attended McClintock High School. Her family has lived in the valley for over 100 years. She has a degree in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu and a degree in Education from Arizona State University. While she was working on her degrees, she was also raising her son. Francisca is currently working on obtaining/attaining her Paralegal Certificate to be of more help to the office as it continues to grow.
Liz Mercurio
Senior Paralegal
Liz’s personal legal experience catapulted her into a career as a Paralegal. Liz’s journey through the court system to establish custody of her children has given her great insight into what our clients go through. Soon after successfully finishing her first legal battle, Liz began working in a local Family Law firm, which only solidified her decision to pursue a fulfilling career as a Paralegal. Liz is currently working on obtaining/attaining her Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies from ABA accredited Phoenix College, and then plans to pursue the NALA Certification.
Liz is a Chandler native and a single mom of 3 young children. When she’s not working, she can be found outside playing with her kids.
Blanca Vasquez
Director of First Impressions / Reception
If you’ve called or visited the office during business hours, chances are you’ve encountered our Receptionist and Director of First Impressions, Blanca. In addition to managing the front office, she books client meetings and collects records for our attorneys to review before consultations. More importantly, she contributes to our client-centered approach by translating for our Spanish-speaking clients and ensuring that their voices are heard.
Blanca is a Phoenix-area native and attended Chandler High School. She has three children and is engaged to be married in 2023. When she’s not helping in the office, she’s probably out hiking or fishing with her family.
Rico Medina
Client Concierge / Records Clerk
Before starting with us, Rico worked in a number of client-centered positions that include customer service, retail, photography studio, and restaurants. With this wealth of experience, we knew he’d be perfect for the job of client concierge – a title we created just for him that allows him to help our firm reach its mission of clients first.
Rico is a resident of Tempe, where he was born and raised. Rico is engaged and planning his wedding for 2024. When he’s not fetching records or helping our clients, he can be found hosting game nights for friends.
